Raveendran is an Indian actor, primarily concentrating in Malayalam and Tamil films. He was a very busy actor in both these languages in 1980's. He debuted in Tamil mega hit Oru Thalai Ragam. He was the second lead in Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth movies like, Sagalakala Vallavan, Per Sollum Pillai, Rama Lakshman, Ranga, Thankamagan and Pokkiri Raja. But he concentrated more in Malayalam movies and was a part of numerous hit films until he decided to quit movies. He did announced his comeback to films and now he is doing smaller roles. Aashiq Abu has signed him to play one of the lead roles in Idukki Gold
